Check how to pay
Use the app, service and your policy documents to clarify whether the card route applies. If payment could not be made with the card, reimbursement is a separate route that requires supporting documents.
Receive the balance
Where the card route applies, PassportCard loads the intended balance onto the card.
Pay with the card
Use the loaded card balance at the doctor or pharmacy. Exceptions depend on the country, benefit and policy.
The USA, planned hospital stays and reimbursement have separate procedures.

Planned inpatient treatment may require prior approval or a guarantee of payment. This is a separate process and is not the same as loading the card.

What if payment could not be made with the card?
When payment could not be made with the card and reimbursement is claimed, the official form requires relevant medical documents, an itemised bill and receipts. Whether reimbursement is available depends on the specific policy.
